• STORMWATER ACCOUNTS are not collected via direct-billed stormwater assessment payments through the tax collector. The stormwater fee will be billed through the City's utility billing.


• WATER/SEWER ACCOUNTS are billed monthly.  These bills also include stormwater and sanitation costs. These accounts are billed based on "cycles". On the top of your bill there is a notation of each customer's cycle and route (i.e., Cycle-Route  01-28). 


• SANITATION ACCOUNTS are billed quarterly.  These accounts are typically for residents who are not connected to the city water and sewer system. You can view the quarterly billing schedule below.

Please note that payment due dates may vary from the above schedules for customers who have signed up for bank drafting or when billing adjustments are made to specific accounts. Please contact Customer Care at (321) 952-3420 or email ucs@palmbayfl.gov for additional information.

Many times there are reasons your water bill may be higher than usual.  For instance:

• Recent House Guests
• Filling your Swimming Pool
• Increased Outdoor Irrigation

However, if your water bill is much higher than usual for no apparent reason, you may have a leak.  Finding and fixing leaks can be easy and inexpensive.  Here's how:

1. Locate your water meter.
2. Turn off all water - inside and outside your home.
3. Read your meter and write down the figures. The City of Palm Bay uses two types of water meters - a standard water meter and a radio frequency water meter.

4. Wait 15 to 20 minutes and read it again.
5. If the figures on your water meter have changed, there is a leak somewhere. Your next step is to find the source of the leak.

CHECK YOUR TOILETS FIRST
Toilets are the most common source of leaks inside the home. You can conduct a simple test to determine if your toilet is leaking:

• Put a few drops of food coloring or a dye tablet in the toilet tank.
• Wait 15 minutes.
• If colored water appears in the bowl, you have a leak.
• Your flush valve ball or toilet flapper may need to be repaired or replaced.

Free Leak Detection Kits are available at Utilities Customer Care located at 120 Malabar Road SE in the City Hall Annex.

WHEN TO CALL AN EXPERT
If your meter indicates a leak and you cannot find it, or if you are hesitant about tackling any repairs, call a licensed and insured plumber.

Your bill is broken down into different sections to help you identify your account information.

It is broken down by:

• Urgent messages
• Your account number
• Your cycle and route number
• Current charges
• The total amount due.
