City Attorney's Office

The Palm Bay City Attorney’s Office serves as legal counsel for the City of Palm Bay by providing legal advice and services to the City Council and employees of the City on matters affecting the City and relating to their official duties. 

Attorneys employed by the City cannot provide legal advice to citizens as they are restricted to providing advice and counsel only to the City as a municipal corporation and public entity.

The Risk Management Division is responsible for the City's Insurance/Self-Insurance Program for Property, Workers' Compensation, and Liability related risks.

Risk Management is committed to managing a comprehensive insurance/self-insurance program to protect the assets of the City and to provide benefit to its employees, residents, and the general public with primary emphasis on quality, cost, and safety.
