NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND FINAL READING FOR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT

The City of Palm Bay, Florida, proposes to adopt the following ordinance:  2024-54.

The Palm Bay City Council will hold a public hearing on the ordinance on December 5, 2024, at 6:00 P.M., at City Hall Council Chambers, 120 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, Florida.

(A large-scale Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map amendment from Micco Park Village to Parkway Flex Use.)

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALM BAY, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE 2045 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO CHANGE THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP DESIGNATION FROM MICCO PARK VILLAGE TO PARKWAY FLEX USE; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Tax Parcels 500 and 751, of the Public Records of Brevard County, Florida; Section 12, Township 30S, Range 37E; along with Tax Parcel 2, of the Public Records of Brevard County, Florida; Section 13, Township 30S, Range 37E; containing 353.47 acres, more or less.

(Located north of and adjacent to Micco Road, in the vicinity east of Interstate 95 Highway.)

Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance(s).  The ordinance draft(s) may be inspected by the public from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., weekdays, in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 120 Malabar Road, SE, Palm Bay, Florida.

If an individual decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, a record of the proceedings will be required and the individual will need to ensure that a verbatim transcript of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based (Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes).  Such person must provide a method for recording the proceedings verbatim.
