The City of Palm Bay is dedicated to honoring the brave first responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our community and the greater Brevard County area. As part of our ongoing efforts to replace and enhance Sacrifice Park, a memorial dedicated to these heroes, we will be holding a Plaque Removal Ceremony on Thursday, August 22 at 9:00 AM at Sacrifice Park, located between Palm Bay City Hall and the Franklin T. DeGroodt Public Library. The media and public are invited to attend.

During this solemn event, the existing plaques of our fallen heroes will be respectfully removed and turned over to their respective agencies. Representatives from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, and the Police Departments of Titusville, Satellite, Cocoa Beach, and Melbourne will be in attendance to receive these plaques.

The City of Palm Bay is committed to ensuring that the memory of these courageous individuals is preserved and honored appropriately. The new plaques will be placed on the enhanced memorial once its construction is completed.
