Palm Bay Aquatic Center Offers Intro to Swim Team Program

Post Date:05/24/2023 10:11 AM

The Palm Bay Aquatic Center is offering an Intro to Swim Team program this summer for kids ages 6-12.  Intro to Swim Team is not swimming lessons.  The program is for children who show proficiency in their swimming abilities.  It will help young swimmers improve their skills and learn what it is like to be part of a swim team.

Swimmers must pass a test on registration night before they will be allowed to enroll in the program.  The test will consist of swimming 25 yards freestroke, 25 yards backstroke, and 15 yards breaststroke.  Registration/testing night will be held on Friday, June 9 at 4:30 PM.  Pre-registration is required before showing up to the registration/testing night as spaces are limited.  Sign up at the pool office.  The aquatic center is located at 420 Community College Parkway SE.

Intro to Swim Team will meet from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from June 12 through July 21.  A team mock meet will be held on Friday, July 21 followed by an end of season party. The registration fee is $125.  Additional swimmers in the same household are just $90.  For more information, call the aquatic center at (321) 952-2833 or email swim@pbfl.org
