The Deadline for CDBG-Coronavirus 3 Grant Applications is March 1

The City of Palm Bay Community and Economic Development Department is currently accepting applications for Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus 3 (CBDG-CV3) funding. In total, the City has allocated $491,218 in CDBG-CV3 funding under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) to eligible programs and activities that “prepare, prevent, and respond to the Coronavirus”. The deadline to submit an application for CDBG-CV3 funding is Monday, March 1, 2021 at 3pm.

The CDBG-CV3 funding allocation includes $147,365.40 for eligible Public Services and $245,609.00 for assistance related to Special Economic Development and/or Affordable Housing activities that prevent, prepare, and respond to the Coronavirus. The substantial amendment also allocates $98,243.60 to eligible planning and administration activities. The CDBG-CV funds are administered by the City of Palm Bay and regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).

Applications are available during normal business hours in the Community & Economic Development Department located on the 2nd floor at Palm Bay City Hall, 120 Malabar Road SE. Applications will also be made available at the Palm Bay Public Library located at 1520 Port Malabar Boulevard NE, the Franklin T. DeGroodt Public Library at 6475 Minton Road SW, and The Evans Center at 1361 Florida Avenue NE. Requests for applications can also be made via email at CDBGCV@pbfl.org. Applications will be accepted until March 1 at 3pm and can be dropped off or mailed to the Community & Economic Development Department at Palm Bay City Hall, Second Floor, 120 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, FL 32907, or emailed to CDBGCV@pbfl.org.
