Join us at the Turkey Creek Sanctuary on Sunday, March 6 from 6 to 8 PM for our Spring Owl Prowl. We're talon you, it'll be a hoot! The cost is $10 per person, ages 12 and up. Call the Nature Center at (321) 676-6690 to sign up in advance as advance signup is required and we are limited to 30 participants.

The initial part of class will consist of classroom discussion on the biology and identification of owl species in Florida. The remainder of class time will be spent in the Sanctuary, calling for owls at various locations on the boardwalk and primitive trails. During the field portion of the class, students and instructors will be traveling to different habitats within the Sanctuary. The terrain is mostly sandy on primitive trails with a few wet spots, so please dress accordingly and be prepared for a hike of light to moderate intensity.

Items to bring: tennis shoes or boots, insect repellent, drinking water, snacks, small notebook and pencil, and binoculars. A limited number of loaner binoculars will be available. Field guides of Florida birds are also encouraged.

Students should meet at the Sanctuary Nature Center no later than 6:00 pm. For questions or to sign up, please call the Nature Center at (321) 676-6690.
