The Palm Bay City Council has approved measures that put the widening of St. Johns Heritage Parkway on track to have shovels in the ground by fall 2027.
The approximately three-mile project will widen St. Johns Heritage Parkway from Malabar Road to north of Emerson Drive from two lanes to four lanes, helping increase capacity along one of Palm Bay’s important transportation corridors.
This is a major step forward for a project that will help address the transportation needs of our growing community and improve mobility in this rapidly developing area of Palm Bay.
There is still work ahead before construction begins, but Council’s latest action establishes a clear path toward getting this long-awaited project under construction.
We’ll continue to keep residents updated as the project moves toward the next phase.
