Palm Bay Recreation Invites Community to Help Shape Future Programs at Community Outreach Day Open House

Post Date:05/29/2026 8:07 AM

Palm Bay Recreation invites residents to attend its Community Outreach Day Open House on Friday, June 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ted Whitlock Community Center, located at 370 Championship Circle NW.

This free, family-friendly event is designed to bring the community together for an evening of fun, connection, and conversation while giving residents a direct voice in helping shape future recreation programming in Palm Bay.

Attendees will have the opportunity to complete community surveys and provide feedback on the types of classes, activities, and programs they would like to see offered at City recreation facilities. Palm Bay Recreation staff will use this feedback to better understand community interests and guide future program development.

Community Outreach Day Open House will also feature free food and refreshments, games, fun prizes, a bounce house, and class demonstrations. Residents can meet local instructors, connect with community partners, and learn more about the variety of programs and services available through Palm Bay Recreation.

“This event is about listening to our community,” said Daniel Waite, Recreation Division Manager for the City of Palm Bay. “We want residents to tell us what they are looking for so we can continue building programs and activities that reflect the interests and needs of Palm Bay families.”

Families and residents of all ages are encouraged to attend, enjoy the activities, and share their ideas for future recreation opportunities in the community.

For more information, please contact the Ted Whitlock Community Center at (321) 952-3231.
