Temporary Lane Closure
Beginning April 12th, the two left-turn median openings on Malabar Road between San Filippo Boulevard and I-95 will be closed for the next 12 months.
The temporary closures will help Palm Bay and the Florida Department of Transportation confirm whether these left turns are contributing to heavy backups on southbound I-95 at the Malabar Road exit. Removing the option for these left turns, together with signal coordination, is expected to improve traffic flow.
