Post Date:11/26/2025 11:13 AM
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) would like to inform you that nighttime ramp closures will begin as early as Monday night, December 1, at the Interstate 95 (I-95) interchange with Malabar Road (State Road (S.R.) 514) in Palm Bay, Brevard County. These closures will impact Exit 173 on I-95, as well as the adjacent northbound entrance ramp.

These closures are necessary to support paving operations and mark the first in a series of upcoming ramp closures associated with the I-95 resurfacing project.

Please see the anticipated schedule and detour information below:

The off-ramp from northbound I-95 to Malabar Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Monday, December 1, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, December 2.
Detour: Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access Malabar Road should continue north to Palm Bay Road (Exit 176). Motorists should exit at Palm Bay Road, turn left, re-enter southbound I-95, and continue south to Malabar Road (Exit 173).

The on-ramp onto northbound I-95 from Malabar Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, to 5 a.m. Thursday, December 4.

Eastbound detour: Motorists traveling eastbound on Malabar Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue to Babcock Street, turn left, and travel north to Palm Bay Road. Motorists should turn left (west) onto Palm Bay Road and continue to the I-95 interchange to enter northbound I-95.

Westbound detour: Motorists traveling westbound on Malabar Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue to Minton Road, turn right, and travel north to Palm Bay Road. Motorists should turn right (east) onto Palm Bay Road and continue to the I-95 interchange to enter northbound I-95.

The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
