The City of Palm Bay will host a special celebration honoring the Palm Bay Police Department’s recent achievement of Excelsior Status from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA). The celebration will take place before the Regular Council Meeting on Thursday, November 20, at 5:30 PM in the City Council Chambers at Palm Bay City Hall, located at 120 Malabar Road SE.
The community is invited to join City leadership in recognizing this significant milestone, which represents the highest level of professional excellence a law enforcement agency can attain. Guests will have the opportunity to congratulate the men and women of the Palm Bay Police Department, enjoy light refreshments, and share in a ceremonial cake-cutting before the start of the regular City Council meeting.
Earlier this month, the Palm Bay Police Department was officially reaccredited and awarded Excelsior Status following a flawless review by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation. To achieve this distinction, an agency must complete five consecutive three-year reaccreditation cycles, demonstrating consistent adherence to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
Residents are encouraged to attend and show their support for the Palm Bay Police Department as the City celebrates this outstanding accomplishment.
