SUMMARY:Free Ranger-Led Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the 1st &amp; 3rd Sunday of most months (excluding holidays; weather permitting) from 10 to 11 AM for a Ranger-Led Tour of the Turkey Creek Sanctuary.<br><br>All Participants should meet at the sanctuary Nature Center no later than 10:00 am. Tours will take place on the boardwalk and various trails located throughout the sanctuary. Each tour will be led by a Park Ranger and will focus on common plants and animals found in the sanctuary.<br><br>Total distance for tours is approximately 1 to 1.5 miles and should take about 1 hour to 1 1/4 hours to complete. The terrain is mostly sandy on primitive trails with a few wet spots, so participants are asked to dress accordingly and be prepared for a hike of light to moderate intensity. Sturdy tennis shoes or boots are recommended. Items to bring include Sunscreen, insect repellent, plenty of water, snacks, binoculars, and a hat.
