Interested in eating the Mediterranean way but not sure where to start? Join us for an engaging introduction class designed to help you build healthier eating habits in a simple and realistic way. This program is presented by the University of Florida/IFAS Brevard County Extension Office and hosted by the City of Palm Bay Recreation Department at the Ted Whitlock Community Center.
During this class, participants will learn the “Med Instead of Meds” approach, including seven easy steps to incorporate Mediterranean-style eating into everyday life—such as choosing healthier fats, eating more fruits and vegetables, and rethinking sweets. You’ll also explore helpful tools like meal planning, label reading, portion sizing, and mindful eating and activity strategies to support long-term wellness.
